Just over a week has passed since the disclosure of the title for Episode VII - The Force Awakens - and this prior week has witnessed the materialisation of rumours reporting that a teaser trailer could well be on the way to airing in the next month or so. The intention of course would be to incentivize fans to watch the movie in theatres on December 18, 2015 (I think we’re incentivized already mind you).
Earlier this week, the German Star Wars fan page - Jedi Bibliothek – learned that the junior novelised tie-in to The Force Awakens is set to hit book shelves on December 22, 2015. This will be four days after the debut of The Force Awakens in movie theatres. Speculation therefore has emerged regarding the release of the adult novelization. Will the adult novelization of The Force Awakens be published on the same date or on an earlier one? That remains to be seen.
The authenticity of this rumour is certainly up for question, as the Prequel Novels were published shortly before the unveiling of the Prequels in the cinema. However, that policy was implemented by George Lucas and Lucasfilm, it remains to be seen whether Disney will follow the same trajectory. I am sure that Disney would not want to publish a book containing an array of spoilers prior to the film release, therefore I implore you all to watch this space, as this rumour evidently appears legitimate.
