Just a few weeks ago we learned that Oscar nominated actress Felicity Jones would be staring in the first Star Wars stand alone film Rogue One. She had been rumored to be in the film for several weeks prior to that and even had to dodge the Star Wars question on the red carpet at the Oscars. Now that she's been officially cast she can say, well just slightly more than before. The Associated Press caught up with Jones and asked her about her Star Wars role, to which she replied, "I can't talk about it. It's really, really exciting but I can't talk about it."
Felicity Jones better get used to giving non-answers like this and fans better get used to getting them from her. Production on Star Wars films are notoriously secretive and we can expect Rogue One to be especially secretive thanks to an agreement between Disney and Paramount, that was struck when both studios announced films with "Rogue" in the title, which prohibits Disney from promoting Rogue One at all this summer (with the exception of Star Wars Celebration next month), until Paramount's Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation is released.
Star Wars: Rogue One starring Felicity Jones hits theaters on December 16th, 2016 and is directed by Gareth Edwards with a script by Chris Weitz.
