It seems like just yesterday when Lucasfilm gave us our first, minuscule glimpse of 2017's Star Wars Episode VIII in the form of the production announcement video.  Now, filming is in the final stages with production officially wrapping on July 22nd.  Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill made the revelation on Twitter today when answering a fan question about what he could reveal about the Rian Johnson directed film.  Principle photography on the film began in February (though some filming did take place last September).  It was primarily based out of Pinewood Studios in London, with location shoots taking place in Dubrovnik, Croatia and across Ireland.

Fans hoping for some more details about Episode VIII will want to pay attention the Sunday before the film wraps, July 17th, when director Rian Johnson will take part in the Future Filmmakers Panel at Star Wars Celebration in London (Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the directors of the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars Story will also be a part of the panel).  Hamill will also be a Celebration, with his Q&A taking place on Friday July 15th at 11:30 am GMT.
