At the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Finn (John Boyega) was left in a rather precarious position--in a coma after having his back slashed by the lightsaber of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). It's a given that Finn will wake up during Episode VIII, with Boyega having confirmed as much during his appearance at Star Wars Celebration this summer in London. The question is, what will he do when he wakes up? Our friends over at MakingStarWars.net may have the answer from their sources. As usual, there is a chance this may not be true but if you are trying to avoid all Episode VIII spoiler then stop reading now. And if you do read on, use discretion when sharing/talking about this story as to not spoil it for others. This is your SPOILER ALERT!

Medical staff have now placed Finn in a bubble suit (to elaborate, we have it on good authority it is called a bacta suit), to heal his injuries. There is apparently a sequence where Finn is cut or removed from the suit and is revealed to be in better condition than ever before.
Shortly after this moment, Finn embarks on a journey that is sure to make him a “big deal” in the Resistance.
While this is likely isn't the most exciting scene in the film, I like the idea of Finn setting out to become the big deal he bragged about being in The Force Awakens. It will be very interesting to see where he goes in Episode VIII now that he's separated from Rey and helped strike a major blow against The First Order.
As always, this is just a rumor until confirmed or denied by Lucasfilm or Disney.
