Star Wars Rebels, the hit animated series currently airing on Disney XD, has received some prestigious award nominations in the animation community. The International Animation Society announced the nominations for the 44th annual Annie Awards this week and Star WarsRebels has been nominated for three awards. The categories Rebels has been nominated in are Lars Mikkelsen (Grand Admiral Thrawn) for Outstanding Achievement, Voice Acting in an Animated TV/Broadcast Productionin the episode "Hera's Heroes", Joe E. Elwood and Alex McDonnell for Outstanding Achievement, Editorial in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production in the episode "Twilight of the Apprentice", and Kevin Kiner for Outstanding Achievement, Music in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production in the episode "Twilight of the Apprentice".
Congratulations to the Rebels nominees! The winners will be announced in a ceremony on February 4th.
